The Institute for Spiritual Development invites you to visit our retreat house, Lumen Christi, during our Open House on Sunday, June 22 from 3 pm to 5 pm. Drop by and discover what so many have come to cherish as sacred ground.

Formerly a Benedictine Monastery, this charming country retreat is nestled on 31 acres of secluded country hillside, including a pond, grazing pastures and wooded areas. The House includes six bedrooms replete with quilts and afghans to warm body, mind and spirit. Three baths assure all visitors have their personal needs met. There is a wonderful country-style, open kitchen-dining area where delicious, home-made cuisine lends that "at home" feeling. The large, informal living room includes a fireplace to add to the cozy atmosphere. Along with the small library, there are convenient nooks with comfy chairs and table lamps for secluded reading or contemplation or even a nap. For the artistically inclined there is an artroom to give vent to their spiritual journey. And of course, there is a generic chapel for gatherings and sharings and circle prayers.
